Introduction
A freight forwarder is an individual or company that dispatches shipments via common carriers and books or otherwise arranges space for those shipments. Common carriers could include waterborne vessels, airplanes, trucks or railroads.
Executive Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management has been developed as an effort to comprehensively work swiftly to smooth the process through the maze of regulations and customs in freight company, cutting through the red tape that can delay the cargo.
Malaysian freight forwarding industry is facing inadequate professional workers. Knowledge in custom administration and freight forwarding are specific skills needed by this industry. This course has been developed in order to enhance the knowledge and skills of the workforce in international trade and freight forwarding. The programme will stress on knowledge in handling of transportation issues, custom clearance and import and export.

The objective of the course is to develop a cadre of trained middle level personnel for a career in handling of matters relating to transport, clearance through custom, import and export, useful for international trade business organizations, Import / Export house, Custom House Agents, Shipping companies.
